Amalgam Removal

Amalgam is a dental filling filled in the cavities and gaps between broken teeth. It is stronger and more durable than tooth-coloured composite filling that doesn’t last long. Amalgam has been the most suitable teeth-filling material for several years. It is commonly used to fill gaps, cracks, and holes on tooth enamel or dentin due to tooth decay or dental caries. Silver amalgam is actually a combination of metals mixed with mercury. It is mainly an amalgam of copper, tin, silver, and mercury. Different metals are mixed with mercury to make them malleable when placed into the tooth. This amalgam has been replaced with tooth-coloured materials that look better than terrible-looking silver amalgam.
